In the work, the sacred purpose of concrete is discussed as perceiving the deep mysteries of nature. This scene allows us to see how important the movement in the area is as much as the building itself. The relationship between human, space and the organic form of concrete creates a spiritual atmosphere. The artist, on the other hand, tries to reveal a part of the return to the essence. This artwork is only available at shopi go ART. The Certificate of Authenticity containing the name, date, technique, size and edition information of the work will be signed by the artist and delivered to you. This artwork will be delivered within 1-4 working days.
BIOGRAPHY

After receiving her pedagogical formation in ballet, which she started at a young age and continued professionally, Danai İlyadu (Istanbul, 1993) left her dance career and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture with honors degree at Bahcesehir University in 2015. During her education, the artist attended Bahcesehir University‘s Berlin Campus as an exchange student in 2013.
Ilyadu, later on completed her Master’s Degree in Architecture at the University of Westminster, London in 2018. During her education, the artist worked on Architectural Photography and Visual Design/Collage techniques. Her first photography exhibition was held in 2017 as part of Open 2017 UoW under the title of 'Ruins'. In 2019, the artist moved to New York and worked as a Research Assistant at the City College of New York on the topic of "Waste and Architecture" where she also continued exploring her art. Nowadays, Ilyadu, who has returned to Istanbul, continues to work on Waste Architecture and creating artworks.
Often physical structures are discussed over "unmanned architecture". People and identities seem to remain outside and beyond the boundaries of the field. However, although it seems to have been excluded, human issues constantly remind themselves.
Architecture is not about producing an object (building) and the project that represents it. The two are happening in a constantly shared, recurring cognitive environment. Danai Ilyadu tries to unfold/understand this relationship between the human, memory, space and ruination with her Architectural Photography and Collage techniques. We can also call this, an attempt to incorporate what has been erased into the cognitive realm of architecture.
The discourse of cultural or natural heritage offers a fragmentary form of governance in memory of our roots. On the other hand, the function and conceptual possibilities of photography give us the opportunity to participate in a dialogue with time and movement, forming alternative connections with different people, generations and cultures. The artist continues to search and explore these possibilities between the discussions of memory, culture and returning to the essence, by immortalizing moments and using visual arts.
