This printing collection, which was first published in the 1850s, includes pictures of each state of Japan. This series, which was created in the extremely productive later years of Hiroshige, was an ambitious project that captured an important moment in the history of Japan, and ten of Meiji restoration opened the doors of industrialization and western influenceL before. One of the most striking features is the vertical presentation that allows Hiroshige to try at perspective.
