CHORUS OF BODY

2D

Chorus of Body is an Istanbul based painter, known for his faceless male bodies. Part of his work was featured for the first time at a group exhibition in England, 2019. Besides his passion for painting, he works in the field of photography and literatüre. Since 2018 he continuously works on his themes by using oil paint strokes to express emotions. He depicts photographs taken by himself, his immediate surroundings and lustful strangers. The images that he blurs with his brush take on more mysterious depictions in the eye of the viewer. In addition to this style that makes his works gain an enchanting essence, he aims to dominate the whole design at a glance and reach the peak of that pleasure, with the paintings he produces in small sizes to make the spectator feel that it is "enough to fit in the palm". In other words, the focus of his paintings is directly on the bodies and the impression they make. The diversity, the colors and all the pleasures form the body chorus.

2019, The Art of Being Queer Exhibition, Pineapple Black Gallery, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
