Aureus necklace

The Aureus necklace is a 24 -carat gold -coated design, made of recycled 925 sterling silver. It is completely handmade and designed with a green Quartz chain.

This piece is completely handcrafted and is produced using ancient wax casting method. In this process, Hespérides takes a hand -shaped wax model and completes it with precious metal and precious stones. Each piece is unique and a little different from the depicted picturesLcan show.

Aureus was the basic gold currency of the ancient Rome and the wider Roman world. This money, which was first called "Nummus Aureus" or "Denarius aureus", played a central role in Roman monetary systems. However, with Constantine's reforms in 312 AD, Aureus was replaced with Solidus, which became the main currency.
