Founded in 1927, Rizzoli today publishes the world's most important publications in the fields of fashion, architecture, photography and gastronomy. Rizzoli, founded by the Italian Angelo Rizzoli, bought the novelle Magazine, which was first published for women. Thanks to this magazine that appeals to 130 thousand women, it has risen and bought many similar magazines. Rizzoli, which started to print mainly classical and popular books in 1949, became the largest publishing house in the world in 1954. The brand opened the Rizzoli New York bookstore on New York 5th Avenue in 1964. The bookstore, whose drawing was designed by Ferdinand Gottlieb, also hosted many films, especially Woody Allen's Manhattan movie.
