The upper design references the GEL-NIMBUS™ 3 shoe model from the early 2000s and is blended with various embellishments from the MC-PLUS V sports shoe design. Mesh panels and leather layers are used together on the upper. The Asics GEL-NYC™ MAN sports shoe's mold has been updated using the mold system of the GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 sports shoe model.

The midsole combines lightweight foam material and GEL™ technology additions to create enhanced underfoot comfort.
