GASPAR MARTINEZ
2DGaspar Martinez (Buenos Aires, 1982), born in Argentina, currently continues his life and work in London. After completing his education in advertising in 2001, he worked as an art director in various agencies in Buenos Aires between 2003 and 2007. He adopted a nomadic life in Europe between 2008 and 2012, his great passion was painting, and he chose to live a life solely on painting. Returning to Argentina in 2012, Martinez continued his production in the workshop of Jorge Demirjian and Diana Aisenberg. In the same year, the artist, who was selected for 'Archivos E / E Archives', held his first solo exhibition at El Mirador Gallery in Buenos Aires. Following this, he exhibited his works at Charles Banks Gallery in New York, USA. Upon the invitation of the Contemporary Artists Center in New York, he stayed at C.A.C.'s artist residence for three months, and then continued his life and productions in New York for 4 years. Between 2014 and 2015, he held two personal exhibitions, 'Expressionismo Industrial' at the Argentinian Embassy in New York and 'Jardin del Espolio' at Cosmocosa Gallery. He toured Latin America with artists such as Maccio, Noe, Benedit and Ferrari in the fairs he attended with Cosmocosa Gallery.
