I love to change; Searching for the new without remaining the same

There are stories that a screenwriters cannot write, and that we cannot get more than a director. Rahaly, you come across such a real life that if you get used to watching life like a movie, you can't break it anymore. As you ask questions, the story finds you. I like watching the stories. I love watching people.

Furkan Temir is actually many people; director, PhotographyChi, creative director, reporter, designer, artist. Do these people conflict under the same roof?

In fact, they do not conflict much because each is connected to a place of aesthetics on the basis of a little. I love to change; I like to call the new without being the same. So doing many things in different fields satisfies me more, or I'm a quick bored person on the one hand.
For two, three months, focusing completely on something and then suddenly everythingLIt is very feeding me to change my clothes, my hair, and even my behavior, and to be someone else and to continue as someone else for a while, and then jump to something else. But on the basis of all of them, there is actually a state of thinking and producing aesthetics, and that's why they don't conflict and even feed on each other. I am not in trouble focusing on something and mastery, and when I look more with a bird's view, I feel all more. My character is a bit like that.
There are places where they unite or intersect, and when they never united. Actually, I don't think about it; I like to do it and go forward constantly.

What are you after?

Actually, I'm not after anything. Those little things that come in front of me take me somewhere, and if he doesn't, he doesn't. I always love that "new" search.

shopi go ARTWhat would they say if your works were listed?

It is a selection from the works of 2014-2015. There are two different jobs there. One of them is black and white photos I took during the war. I was after abstract things at that time. The other consists of new photographs of Türkiye that I take all over Anatolia; It is more documentary, but on the other hand, it is a job that works more architectural, urban and social problems.
In other words, they are both different works, in terms of the places they come. One is black and white, the other is from colorful photographs, but they also talk to each other. I don't know what they would say if they were talked, but they sound strange to me. That's why they've chosen a little more and I've loved it. Things that shouldn't be somewhere, but they don't seem to be contrary. But when you think about it a little, "What's this doing here?" a situation that makes you say.

How to have a reporter in crisis regions, how to approach artL And in what direction did it affect?

Frankly, I started journalism at a very young age; War at the age of 17 PhotographyfoldingLI started to do it. So howL I don't know I'm impressed because I grew up with him, and he shaped all my identity and character. HowL I don't know, maybe someone who observes it from outside. I think it's in everything I do somehow. Most importantly, I learned to survive and get used to everything that could be.

Is there any difference between editorial and Furkan who attracts documentaries? If any of the approachL it is changing?

It actually doesn't change because in general Photography There is something I caught about; Whatever I shoot, it looks like it. If I shoot something in Syria, it is in the same aesthetics of three or five. Or when I take the editorial for a magazine, something similar emerges. I know how to do it, and that's something developed as a reflex. The first 10 photos I took had the same signature, and now it looks like them. Actually, I don't want to think about it. Whatever I feel at that moment, what to attract and howL If I want to shoot, I pull it that way, but they are strangely, they all look like each other. I don't want to think about changing. If it changes, it changes. Of course there are cosmetic differences. At the most basis of the content, there is something that connects each other, but I am not aware of it, but when I look back, I can see it.

You are very aware of the cultural and characteristic features of your geography; You make it feel in all kinds of visual transfer. What do you owe this awareness?

I owe it to the environment where I was born and grew up. I love observing since I was a child. I like watching things from the outside when it's really going on. At one point, this habit turned into a little mockery. Because after observing for a while, he actually starts to get boredLIf you do not want to withdraw into it, the only way is to observe it from a distance and make fun of it. Then when that mockery increases a little more, he starts to be aware of many thingsLyou are. I started to find something funny in my own way; The world's uphill rolling is really funny to me. In fact, it may cause that I am in war zones; We open televisions, there are very bad events in the world, natural disasters, floods, wars, but sometimes it seems that the events are not so big. Or you meet a politician, and when you observe that world there, you see that nothing is under control, no one knows anything, but some of them act as if they know, and suddenly everything is funnyLit is. As you scrape and examine your gold, you always want to be more aware and go further. I'm a little curiosity and my investigative soul; I love to know. It is very easy to judge; It is very easy to judge those outside the neighborhood we live in. Called the doors and said, "Hello, can we meet?" He is a guest in the house of people, eating and chatting with them can make you witness strange stories. Although I learned that people are much more open than we expect than we live in the internet age, I have seen how easily the information is accessible, and I aim to make it a little obsession with it and to be aware of everything around me, to know a little more and to make fun of it.

Then, in fact, the definition that will fully grasp you on the basis of all this is perhaps a “story hunter”?

Yes, maybe. Really strange; I'm so impressed by what I see. There are stories that a screenwriters cannot write, and that we cannot get more than a director. Rahaly, you come across such a real life that if you get used to watching life like a movie, you can't break it anymore. As you ask questions, the story finds you. I like watching the stories. What excites you in life?

I'm not the one who can reflect what I feel on my face. So I have an exciting temperament in general, but I don't really feel excited anymore. I need to be surprised to get excited and I'm rarely surprised, but when I get excited, I have a more refined excitement. I may be surprised by the little things that happen at the right moment. For example, the fact that the person sitting in front of me is wearing two different socks, it can excite me that he makes himself clear. Think about what that person had lived that day and ask him. "Excuse me, but what could you cause you to wear two different socks today?" It is an exciting situation for me to ask. Everything can happen. He may never answer… I love the excitement of that moment. I am very popular with such things.

Which impulse puts his head in trouble?

In general, my curiosity is putting my head in trouble. When you go on top of what's behind you without judging something, you usually do forbidden things, which is often one of the reasons that put me in trouble.

What keeps you in Istanbul?

I think its geography. I wasn't born and raised here, I'm not here. But I tried many places and even stayed in different parts of the world for certain periods and then I always returned to Istanbul. Everyone is trying to pollute, destroy, earn money over, in short, to exploitLI am very impressed by the fact that it can stay so beautiful. Many cities that we see or like are often preserved as a result of superior efforts; It has the architecture that is constantly structured, protected by law and law. Istanbul is not like that at all. It is very difficult for me to stand so steep and beautiful on its own while everyone and everything are after destroying it.Lü is coming. I love Istanbul very much.

What superpower do you think of art?

In defining Baudelaire's art, he argues that the value of art is invaluable; It makes an analogy of a beverage that makes people refreshed, heats up, and makes the stomach and the spirit to the natural balance of the ideal. When I first read this, a lightning flashed in my head; It is really priceless, not in the sense that it is very valuable, but really it is very difficult to mow ... I can give you one of the pictures here, I can reap a price of 10 thousand pounds, it can be 20 million dollars. Nobody can come and say anything, because rationally it is really priceless. This creates an extremely abstract “bug de in the trade and market of art. Aesthetics is a very personal thing and is not regulated. The super power of art is something like that.

What would be the first five words if Furkan had a dictionary?

It would be a single word: new. I love everything. Call him and when you find it already worn out. It is like the feeling you live in the moment before reaching, but I like to be after him and think about this word.

What triggers the urge to create?

It doesn't trigger anything because I live as I am, and there's a constant bond between my own character and all the things I do. It's been like that since I was a child. I was really like 7 years old. I was talking about three or five again. I loved creating at that time, of course, connecting to what you mean by creatingLI but I liked to put things on something and sometimes reveal something that worked, sometimes it doesn't work. In fact, my mother used to call me empty jobs because I would take care of everything I shouldn't take care of.

What's your soul hungry these days?

I miss traveling because of my pande, I can't see new things. The internet is great, I'm there all the time, I can go to other places there, but physically my soul is hungry for traveling and fatigue.

I love to change; Searching for the new without remaining the same

Open your soul to somethingLHow is it when he feels like he feels and not reaching himL are you reacting?

I do not react. I guess I'm not sorry about being an officer child, when I can't reach anything. What can i do, howL I try to find methods because I can reach it, but if it is not possible, I continue my life.

What would happen if there was a headline to define your life?

I don't like headlines in general. It sounds like huge things written to attract attention. Aesthetically other; They look beautiful in the layout of the layout, but I'm not a headline person. I'm not interested in the headline, I'm more interested in learning or telling the long stories and details behind him. In fact, I am the human being of the big paragraphs, I want it to be explained for a long time, to overflow out of what needs to be explained and finally meet with humor.

If Istanbul is a human being, even though he has a mask on his face?L would you know?

I guess it would be a sweat. I think he would sweat not because he smells badly, but because he always lives intensely and tried to grow up in a panic.
Istanbul wants to throw your sweat, I dream. Paris or London is not like that; Nine in the evening stops, they do not live there. Istanbul lives 24/7. His shift doesn't end. The city is very crowded once and naturally cannot remove this crowd; I think we live in a shift, so everyone can not fit in the city when they get up 8-5, because some of us are working 8-5, there is a team waking up at 11-12, there is another team waking up at 4-5… The city is so much We despise that 24 hours of 24 hoursLWith everything, I think it would sweat.

What tools do you use to raise awareness?

My definition of awareness is about learning and knowing a little more. That's why I think that every place I can reach, gather information, and learn, increases my awareness. Mostly I am on the internet. In fact, every place where I can access information and it doesn't matter which information is. And I think the right information doesn't matter because wrong information is increasing my awareness. Because wrong information or disinformation is something like this, especially in the post-Truth age after Trump, this is the truth of someone now; but not truth. On Twitter, 1 million people talk about that incorrect information and if they believe it, it becomes a reality at some point, it becomes the truth of someone. I don't consider it right, it is wrong, but I try to reach not only refined and correct information, but also at the eye level, under the waist or underground information because it increases my awareness of what is happening and trying to understand what is behind.
At the end of the day, you are not a refined and right person when you consciously. You need to know as much as possible. In addition, some physical experiences contribute to my awareness.

What would come to your mind first if I say the thing that scares you the most?

Nowadays, it can be synchronized by accessing and learning all kinds of information in the world at the same time, while all these vehicles can be cut off and the connection with life suddenly dismantled with life, and this freedom is taken away from me. The idea of connecting/independence to the Internet and the outside world and the idea of being cut off with the whole world and being deprived of this speed of life really scare me. Not being synchronized, not being up -to -date.

We are changing and transforming beings. In the last year, it has taken great formats to us. Although it was a difficult year, what happened to you closer to you?

I started to make music randomly, or rather, I make sounds with some electronic tools. It sounds very good for me. I have always been a listener for a long time, but now I have discovered a playground that I have switched to the other side, and perhaps it forces not to use some regions that I have never used in my brain and thus expand my perception in another direction, butLIt is right for me to take other pleasures that I have never received beforeLit is. So I can say that the benefit of the pandem was reflected in this way, because I couldn't spend much time outside, it was time to focus on new things with that wasted time. A Berlin DJ friend moved moved very close to the studio, I found myself at the beginning of a syntisizer while listening to music at night together, it was a really strange experience for me, when I finished it, I went into shock, everyone felt strange. Giuseppe had recorded everything and was very good when we listened to the morning again.
So of course, of course, I took a syntisizer and a drum machine, eh eh, let's try it a little, I started him.

Not being synchronized, not being up -to -date.

Then I think we can expect something soon.

Yeah, it may be because we've saved a lot of things. Since Giuseppe is a DJ and sound designer, he knows the mixing and post production process very well. When I take the equipment and steal something, he gets it lively mixed and sent me from Wetransfer as I leave the door. Every night we get new records together. For now, we have a very enjoyable association. Does anything come out, what? I don't know right now.

What was the song that accompanied you when it overcome everything this year?

APHEX- I don't know if “Twin-Peel Session helps”, but I can say that I had fun with this piece this year.

What would you be if you were a special day, what would be celebrated all over the world?

I love having fun, but I don't like the celebrations at all. Everyone knows that. (Laughs)
