FIRAT KÖLETAVİTOĞLU

2D

FIrat Koletavitoglu (İstanbul, 1990) came back home to Istanbul in 2009 after his studies in Physics and Philosophy in Canada. His work on both canvas and paper with all manner of materials including wax, coal and string apart from the regular acrylic, watercolors and oil paints are more a constant method of self-expression, then simply being an avenue of creative indulgence. There are multitudes of innate selves within man waiting to be unleashed through any medium they can find. I give simple fields of color the means to simplify this chaos we call ''ourselves''. I believe Abstract is a powerful conduit for human emotion. Any meaning I might have intended no longer belongs to me the second the varnish dries.
