İlhak Altıparmak (born 1990, Erzurum) graduated from the Painting Department of Erzurum Anatolian Fine Arts High School in 2009. In 2016, he graduated from the Graphic Design Department at Atatürk University's Faculty of Fine Arts. In 2024, he completed his Master's degree at Düzce University’s Institute of Fine Arts, in the Painting Department, with his thesis titled "Artistic Approaches on Motherhood." His series "The Game of No-Self II" was featured in the 2021 "Young Contemporary Art Project Competition:7," and in 2023, his work "Look into My Eyes and Tell Me You Love Me" was included in the "Young Contemporary Art Project Competition:9." In 2023, he participated in the Close[t] Demonstrations selection at Semmelweisklinik in Vienna with his series "Slippery Recollections of Consciousness II." In 2024, his series "Is It Possible to Love Someone Gently?" was selected for the Mamut Art Project, and his works were exhibited in the group exhibition "Cuando se abren las puertas" at Ilgaz Yıldız Gallery in Madrid. İlhak Altıparmak lives and works in Erzurum, focusing on themes of queer identity and nature (motherhood) in his works.

In their works, İlhak Altıparmak applies an autobiographical and intuitive approach to the conflicts emerging from already exiting gender definitions and community standards. They are interested in how the halo of meaning formed around the connotative field of object, space and body is the material of the individual's psychological field. In this axis, the subjects of their recent works are queer, identity phenomena, nature (mother). Although working mostly with textile materials such as yarn and fabric is part of her production practice, they also work in media such as video and photography.
