Tamer Nakışçı (Istanbul, 1982) is an interdisciplinary artist and designer with a strong vision and fascination for the future. With his ability to play with ideas and forms, emotions, materials, and technologies in surprising and innovative ways; Tamer Nakışçı explores new scenarios, physical and emotional interactions between human, spaces and objects,.
He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and was invited to join the prestigious Fiat Advanced Design Concept Lab in Milan, followed by his first international award in 2005 with his groundbreaking Nokia 888 concept. He was selected among “Europe’s 100 Young Creative Talents” by the European Union in 2009 and has been invited to numerous workshops and conferences around the world.
Working across a broad range of projects, varying from product design to immersive art installations; his relatively short career has garnered him a plethora of international prizes and exhibitions, including a showcase at Villa Noailles Design Parade and the prestigious Good Design and Wallpaper* Design Awards. He is one of the "10 Contemporary Turkish Artists You Should Know" according to Artsy.
