2DSelin Şengül Kösemen (Adana, 1993), who completed her undergraduate education at Marmara University Faculty of Law, creates works in the field of painting and collage. In addition to her passion for art, after graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Law, the artist continued her master's degree in insurance law and her six-year law adventure. Meanwhile, she worked as an assistant in a local ceramics workshop. While working as an assistant, Kösemen also worked in the field of sculpture. The artist currently continues her production in Adana. Kösemen's works focus on themes of anxiety, mental health, activism, post-depression calm and maturation.
Selin Ş. On her journey to reach her inner voice, Kösemen wakes up after experiencing depression from her life in which she remained shy while expressing her opinions. After this enlightenment, which she describes as an awakening from the dream of society, she embarks on a quest to fearlessly express her inner feelings through images in her works, and realizes her own revolution by painting in a world where word is command.
