Suvetuz was founded by Lütfullah Genç and Ecem Karslı in Emirgan in 2023. Suvetuz; Design, freedom, anything that comes to mind, partnership, designs that will make people's daily life easier and make them feel good. Sometimes functional, sometimes dysfunctional designs. It is a formation that walks together with artists from time to time. In fact, you can think of it as a living community rather than a place. Suvetuz digested supports good production, so it carries out its production by approaching each object on material and craft.
Lütfullah Genç
Lütfullah Genç (Giresun, 1994) graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, in 2018, as the top student of the faculty. In 2016, he studied at the "University of West Hungary" and "International Ceramics Studio Kecskemet" in Hungary with the Erasmus exchange program. While he was continuing his master's degree at Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institute in 2018, he also continued his thesis work as a guest student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He graduated in 2021 by completing his master's thesis titled "Transformation of Images from Personal Memory into Art Objects". He continues his production in Istanbul.
Ecem Karslı
Ecem Karslı (Istanbul, 1999), after studying architecture at the University of Kent for a year in 2017, completed her undergraduate education at the University Arts of London with her thesis on Sustainable Buildings. Every year, their projects have been deemed eligible to be exhibited within the scope of UAL. She gained her master's degree in fine arts at Goldsmiths in 2021. During her education in London, she worked on sustainability and took part in group exhibitions on this subject. She has worked in various jobs in the architecture and art sectors. When she returned to Istanbul, she received training from masters on different art practices in various workshops. Karslı continues her production in its Suvetuz workshop in Emirgan.
