BIOGRAPHY
Ali Kanal (Izmir, 1988) completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sculpture in Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2015. He is now attending Master’s Degree program in Sculpture at the same university. The artist lives and works in Izmir. Since 2016 he has been a member of the Darağaç Collective, one of the contemporary art platforms of Izmir.
Ali Kanal creates his works by picking the objects he comes across in everyday life which could be in an idle building or on empty street. “Searching” and “Finding” are the two most important parts of his production process. He gets lost when he searches and he exists when he finds it.
These found objects that he uses in his assemblage works, on the other hand, carry out a persistent resistance with repetitions of almost the same compositions. He is trying to revive and preserve a new life from the waste, the lost and the abandoned. The plain structure of the compositions puts the effect of the works in a primitive form due to the nature of the object. According to the artist, his creations have meaning of a post-apocalyptic amulet or a totem.

- 4D artifacts such as video, GIFs are sent to you via email.
- You will be contacted for Digital Installation works to be technically set up and an installation schedule is created.
RETURN
- Artwork that can’t be returned:
- All pictures and prints that are specially printed for you.
- All artwork that is framed specially for you.
- All Sculpture and Ceramic works under the 3D category.
- All 4D artifacts such as video, GIF, and other digital work that is sent to you without a watermark.
- All digital installation work whose technical set up was specific to you and the location you requested.
- You can return the works that you bought at shopi go ART within 14 days of their delivery to you or the address of the person/institution that you had provided that they are undamaged.
- To initiate the return process, you need to create your request by contacting our customer service at 444 86 84, info@shopigoart.com, or via WhatsApp Support Line.
- Returns should only be made with the return procedure determined by Shopi go ART. No other form of returns will be accepted.
