Traditionally used as insect repellentLIR is also a component of the royal wedding bouquets and used as a perfumery and as a foodstuffLIR. In Europe, it was widely used in a mixture called Gruit as a sweetener for beer from the Middle Ages to the 16th century, but the sherbetçiotu has become more common after it became more common.
