LARA TÖRÜN
2DLara Törün was born in 1998 in Istanbul. She completed her high school education at Istanbul Aydın Doğan Fine Arts High School. For her university education, she was awarded a full scholarship and graduated from Doğuş University with a degree in Graphic Design. Afterward, she converted a room in her home into a studio where she continues to practice her art.
In my art, i’m still in a phase of exploration and development, and the fact that this search will always continue serves as a source of motivation for me. Without conforming to a specific mold, I aim to reflect the images and stimuli in my mind through my works. Spaces, especially those with texture, are a significant source of inspiration for me. Familiar reminders and objects that we all recognize within these spaces act as triggers, and one of my artistic motivations is to bring these reminders back to people's attention. Combining the quality of the past, the feel of antiques, and the modernity of today is something I strive for in my art, and I am still on a journey to discover how to achieve this balance. This pursuit reflects my current artistic expression.
