CARHARTT WORK IN PROGRESSIn 1889, with the slogan "Honest value for an honest dollar" Hamilton Carhartt started his company with the same name as its name. The brand's durable clothing soon became standard clothing for blue-collar workers across the country. The durable designs of the business suit brand have finally reached beyond the ocean; in 1989, German designers Edwin and Salomée Faeh launched the Carhartt Work In Progress, a street clothing extension that targets consumers in Europe and Asia.
