Ekin Balcıoğlu (İzmir, 1990) is the founding partner and editor-in-chief of “HAMAM - The Magazine of Letting Go”. Bachelor's degree in 2013Lfrom Central Saint Martins in 2016, thenLDepartment of Visual and Critical Studies and Fine Arts at California College of Arts inLHe received his master's degree in double major.
Ekin is a visual artist and writer with nearly fifteen years of creative experience. He took part in personal and group exhibitions in New York, San Francisco, London, Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and Sofia. Ekin, IMPACT Social Entrepreneurship AwardLü and Murphy & Cadogan Contemporary Art AwardLHe became the owner of ü. He worked as an artist at The New York Art Residency and Studios (NARS) Foundation in Brooklyn, New York, and at the Archimedes Banya, a Russian bathhouse in San Francisco. He also served for a time as creative director of Archimedes Banya, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's visual aesthetics, and editor-in-chief of The Banya Journal.
Ekin currently lives and works in Taos, New Mexico, USA.
