CEM ÖZTÜRK
2DCem Öztürk (1981, İzmir) completed his undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Faculty of Communication and Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design. He worked in advertising agencies such as TBWA\İstanbul, Alice BBDO, DDB. Since 2018, he has focused on painting and original printmaking. He continues to work with galleries in cities such as Berlin and London. The artist's works generally deal with grotesque compositions, contrasts, the unknown and occult concepts. He often questions moments where fantasy and reality intertwine, and issues such as fear, childhood, existence, and the boundaries between good and evil. He also makes use of traditional printing methods such as mezzotint and woodblock printing, which are 16th century engraving techniques.
